Canon has applied for a patent on a reworking of their most famous lens, the 24-70mm f/2.8L lens, which has been around since 2002. Word has it that the new lens might be a bit bigger, a bit pricier and a better optical quality. Too bad, there is no info on pricing or availability at this moment.
